Summary:
The Production Team Lead is responsible for the management and assembly of electronics according to written manufacturing instructions and product specifications.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Assembly and Testing of Onset Products.
Perform specialized assembly procedures.
Ability to instruct and make independent decisions.
Oversee the assembly and test of product.
Good communication with team members regarding priorities and department issues.
Assure team members have proper skill levels and training needed to complete assigned tasks.
Provide both verbal and written direction, correction, and praise to team members.
Attend Team Leader Meetings.
Implementation of Lean and understanding of the process.
Ability to work off Production schedule and make changes in order to meet demand.
Read and understand Part Location Drawings and Bill of Materials.
Ability to perform end of year Reviews and if required follow up plans.
Able to delegate jobs successfully to even load the department.
Back up for Production Supervisor.
Maintain positive work environment in the Teams while maintaining high quality and volumes.
Ability to work under magnification.
Training- Lean training.
IPC solder and rework certification to Onset Standards, Advanced Computer training, Train the trainer course.

Education/
Experience:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 5 years' experience in the field.
Familiar with a variety of electronic assembly concepts and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Relies on written and verbal instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
The ability to train others in complex assemblies and testing.
A high degree of creativity and latitude is required.
This position requires extensive product and process knowledge.
Reports to a supervisor.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 20 to 30 lbs.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
