HII Unmanned Systems (UxS) has an exciting opportunity as a Systems Engineer in our undersea warfare program. In this role, lead an interdisciplinary approach to a variety of efforts relating to technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for autonomous marine vehicles and systems. This person will work closely with the program team to transfer product definitions into verifiable specifications that result in successfully released products, including tasks such as:
Work with customers (internal and external) to define product life-cycle needs, and evolve needs into system requirements using industry and Government standards Performs system engineering tasking to include requirements allocation, interface definition, product requirement management, in the context of technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform technical analyses throughout a product lifecycle to support concept development, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, and maintenance. Generate and execute test programs for validation and verification of vehicle and model performance. 10% at sea as required. 10% business travel as required. Other duties as assigned. Essential Job Responsibilities Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include:
concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Minimum Qualifications 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Minimum of 10 years related and/or training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with design of complex systems. Minimum of 5 years' experience conducting System Engineering functions, including requirements management and system architecture design. Experience with Defense acquisition policies, including DoD 5000 and related system engineering guidance Experience with marine systems or robotics. Experience with undersea warfare missions and tasks. Experience with configuration management in a DoD environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience integrating and testing combined hardware and software assemblies. Experience with Jama Requirements Management tool. Experience with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA/Confluence) #LI-MH1 MV SG TE EP Preferred Requirements Proficiency with MATLAB Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
